Our Programs
Woodhaven is built around six core elements that work together to support adolescent boys in recovery, growth, education, family healing, and long-term planning. Each part of the program is designed to help residents practice recovery in daily life while beginning to build a future with greater stability, confidence, and purpose.
Recovery Principles
At Woodhaven, recovery is not built simply on avoiding substances. It is built on character, responsibility, honesty, and purpose. Through meetings, group discussions, 1:1 step work, service, and daily accountability, residents begin building a life grounded in connection, integrity, and hope.
Woodhaven Prep
Recovery should not come at the expense of education. Woodhaven Prep provides a dynamic, individualized academic experience that helps students stay engaged, make meaningful progress, explore future opportunities, and reconnect with what is possible.
Clinical Engagement
Woodhaven coordinates clinical care with outside licensed clinicians while providing daily support within the program. This helps clinical work remain connected, consistent, and carried into the real-life situations, relationships, and challenges residents experience each day.
Recreation
Recovery is also built in the moments when young people learn to enjoy life again. Through outdoor adventure, sports, fitness, creative activities, and shared experiences, residents discover that sobriety can include connection, confidence, and fun.
Family Program
When a young person starts the recovery process, the whole family needs support, healing, and a way forward. Woodhaven’s Family Program supports parents and loved ones as they begin to heal, reconnect, communicate directly with their son, and grow into recovery together.
Strategic Planning
Strategic Planning helps residents prepare for the future with individualized support around education, life skills, college applications, career exploration, sober living options, and building a future worth working toward.
